In spite of all the trouble, the Chinese company was able to improve shipments around the world in 2019, as it sold an astonishing 240 million smartphones in spite of the ban imposed om it by the United States of America. Huawei Technologies is set to expect a sales revenue of over $123billion/€110billion, an increase of around 18% YoY according to its current chairman Xu Zhijun. One can only imagine how crazy the numbers would have been if the US government did not arm-twist American companies into backing down from trade relations with the Chinese company. The chairman further revealed that the goal of the company for 2020 was to develop its Mobile Services ecosystem as an alternative to Google’s solution so it is not reliant on the actions of partners from other nations. One reason Huawei might have underperformed last year was due to its lack of Google Services on its recent models of smartphones, making it unattractive to customers in certain parts of the globe especially in markets like Western Europe. The technology company was also able to sell over 2 million units of the Huawei Watch GT2 in around 3 months of its introduction into the market, and also managed to sell over one million Huawei FreeBuds 3 headphones in one month. The new range of Huawei P40 phones are expected to be unveiled in March as smartphone lovers will want to see how the series fare in the market. Source
