1. Built-in Shazam
Did you know that your iPhone has a built-in Shazam? Shazam is a popular music recognition service. You used to have to download the app from the App Store, but in 2020 Apple built it into iOS. Now, to find out what song is playing in a store or in a cab, you just have to swipe “Control Point” and click on the Shazam icon. After a few seconds, a notification will pop up on the screen with the author and the name of the song. By the way, you can “shazam” not only the music around you, but also the music that is playing on the iPhone itself – for example, in a video on Instagram or TikTok. To do this: open Safari and go to the website with the text you want to translate; click on the “Aa” icon in the upper right corner; select “Translate Website”; choose your preferred language. This feature is available in iOS 14 and newer versions.
5. Hide photo
There may be some photos on your iPhone that you don’t want others to see. Luckily, there is a way to hide them from view. To do this: open the Photos app; select the photo or photos you want to hide; click the “Share” button; select “Hide.” This feature is available in iOS 13 and newer versions.
6. Capturing video and photos at the same time
Did you know that you can take both videos and photos at the same time on your iPhone? This is a great way to capture both the video and the still image of a special moment. To do this: open the Camera app; select “Video” mode; press and hold the shutter button to take a photo while simultaneously recording a video. This feature is available in iOS 12 and newer versions.
7. Photo text recognition
The iPhone can not only recognize text in images, but also read it aloud. This is a great way to quickly get the information you need from a document or sign.
